Planned (Un)Parenthood

December 26, 2009. I was finally on to a book idea worthy of writing. The past year and a half has been an experience. Like the brewing of a finely crafted lager, quality writing can take time. I have made the absolute most of every writing session, every research period, and every subject discussion made available.

My intention is to have this book ready for agents and publishers by the end of the calendar year. If I need to take longer, I will. So be it. I have already taken this long so a few more months would surely be worth it.

My Wife/Business Manager/Editor (Cheryl) has contributed significantly. Her suggestions were all excellent. So much so, that I have implemented more than 95% of them.

I set out to write Planned (Un)Parenthood in order to educate and entertain. A review of the current draft has proven that I am well on the way. This has not just become about expressing a point of view. It is about giving a voice to those who made the choice not to have children, recognizing those who are unable to, saluting those that did and do parent well, and the sharing of some common philosophy which is sometimes echoed across the global childfree community.

This has been a great ride so far. A ride that is far from over.

My thanks to readers, colleagues, supporters, family, friends, and my social media audience for your support. Above-all, thanks to Cheryl for believing in this from day 1.

The best, for the rest, of your summer and beyond.

    1. Thank you for your kind words of support. Planned UnParenthood has been much of my life for the last year and a half plus and counting. It has been worth it, and will be worth it in the hands of the right publisher and agent. Cheers.
