Readers of the excellent Hiking Humanist Blog at http://www.hikinghumanist.com are being directed to Julie’s new site at http://www.childfreevoices.com
I had been a fan and reader of Hiking Humanist for a while and am pleased Julie is taking this next step with her blogging. I strongly encourage all readers to give her site a follow and join her on Twitter @ChildfreeVoices . You will see much of the postings that were originally on Hiking Humanist. Anyone who has read the site will be pleased to see some earlier material come up again. Julie’s material is well worth a second and even third reading.
I am particularly proud to have my book “Planned UnParenthood Creating A Life Without Procreating” on the Childfree Voices Book Club Page along with other books by Laura Carroll, Sylvia D. Lucas, Kaye D. Walters, Jennifer Richardson, and Jennifer Shawne. It looks like I am in very good company being part of this list.
Over an exchange of e-mails a short time ago, Julie hit on something in connection with my book which I believe it important to note. Since my book is the first known book about childfreedom to be written from a male perspective, hopefully more will follow in the near future.
I am in complete agreement. While pleased to lead the way, I look forward to the day where there are future perspectives offered from other guys who have decided not to have children.
Let’s face it. When it comes to childbirth, women do all of the damn work. So for many it may seem easier to understand the point of view from a childfree woman. I certainly “get it” when I am fortunate to hear and read the perspective.
So I do sincerely hope for several books about this subject to enter the market both from childfree men and women alike. It is still a relatively fresh market, and the books within it will have a significantly long shelf life because it is a very relevant topic that appears in the media at least a few times a year among many news outlets.
For anyone out there in the media, if you are considering running a story about examining this lifestyle decision, please get in contact me through my Twitter Feed @WriterDann.

Hey! Thanks for the redirect! I appreciate it.
And I couldn’t agree more. You’re a trailblazer, you know.
I’m still working on reading your book, but I’m juggling several projects right now, so I’m not quite ready to post a review. I’ll let you know when it’s up though.
Keep being awesome!
Thank you for your kind words of support 🙂
I look forward to your feedback.
