Grief is an ingredient of our existence. An ingredient we would rather never use in a recipe of mixed emotions. We are stuck with it. Even with good coping skills, it can be intolerably unbearable.
In letting our sweet boy Leo go, grief has returned. It’s a wave crashing over without warning. It’s a sudden windstorm forcing you to stand strong and not blow away.
There are never enough words to describe it. Everyone copes differently.
It is okay to feel sad. It is okay to let your emotions work. And, it is okay to reach out.
