Twitter has been taken over by Elon Musk and his fan-base of mostly ignorant bigots with nefarious agendas. The Twitter mute function was clearly not working. Content that would otherwise be removed was permitted to stay up. The Chief Twit himself violated Twitter’s terms of service.
Over the weekend I deleted Twitter from my phone, and started a gradual stepping-away from the platform. Everything is still there. Some content from this very site will post to my timeline automatically until (and if) I say otherwise. I just cannot bring myself to engage there for a while. Maybe I will delete everything completely after I reevaluate how I engage with readers, writers and others in the communities I am proud to be part of.
I see it as an opportunity to refresh my communications. A chance to spend more time communicating with those closest to me. Perhaps I will be putting a few extra words into emails that otherwise might be left out. Take some proper time to ensure my messages are not rushed.
Thank you for reading. Hope you will stick around.

Sounds like a good response: A chance to spend more time communicating with those closest to me.
